Pete Wood (left) of Irondale, AL, was awarded the Pennzoil Platinum Prize before the Aaron's 499 race at Talledega Superspeedway on April 27. Wood is the President of the Alabama chapter of Vulcan Corvair Enthusiasts and is constantly planning events to get the cars out in public view. Pete has made it his mission to preserve the Corvair legacy. Dean Buhler of Loveland, CO was awarded with the Pennzoil Platinum Prize on Friday, May 30 at The Ranch at Larimer County Fairgrounds. Buhler is a founding member and president of the Road Knights Car Club in Loveland, which started roughly 25 years ago. Standing before his 1932 Ford Highboy Coupe that he calls "Third Degree Burn," he was presented the award by Pennzoil representative Josh Pennebaker at the Pennzoil Feel the Clean trailer.

Ray and Joy Beane were honored with the Pennzoil Platinum Prize on Friday, July 11th at the 10th Goodguys PPG Nationals car show at the Ohio Expo Center. The two Ashville residents put on a car show for foster kids each year at the Buck-Eye Ranch in Grove City. Last year, the show raised $15,000 and had roughly 500 cars in attendance. Standing before their 1964 Corvette convertible, the couple was presented the award by Pennzoil representative Bill Randell at the Pennzoil Feel the Clean trailer.

Oak Grove resident Don Davis was honored by Pennzoil with the Pennzoil Platinum Prize at the Good Guys 7th Mid-Western Nationals from August 29-31 in Kansas City, MO. Davis is heavily involved in the Kustom Kemps of America and Good Guys, and has held every office in the K.C. Customs car club. Standing before his 1953 Chevrolet 210, Davis received the award from Pennzoil representative Bill Randell.

James "Mike" Campbell of Harmony, NC, was awarded the Pennzoil Platinum Prize before the All-Star Race at Lowe's Motor Speedway on May 17. Campbell (right) is a member of the Late Great Chevrolet North Carolina Tarheel Chapter and has used Pennzoil motor oil in his 1963 Chevrolet Impala for 35 years. He has owned several hot rods and is a dedicated auto enthusiast. Standing in the Shell-Pennzoil Suite at Lowe's Motor Speedway, he and his wife Mary Ann (left) were recognized by #29 Shell-Pennzoil driver Kevin Harvick (center).

Pat Lennen was honored with the Pennzoil Platinum Prize at the 20th Hot Rod Nationals show at O'Reilly's Raceway in Indianapolis, IN. Lennen, who has been president of the Indiana Street Rod Association for 10 years, owns three hot rods, two 1937 Studebaker hot rods and a 1954 F-100 Ford truck. He debuted his silver and blue Studebaker at last year's Hot Rod Nationals. With a 380 Stroker motor, all stock body and handmade dashboard, the two-tone hot rod is a spectator favorite. Standing before his 1937 Studebaker, Lennen received the award at the Pennzoil Feel the Clean trailer.

Ron Gliot of Lake in the Hills, IL was awarded with the Pennzoil Platinum Prize on June 26 at the Bloomington Gold show in St. Charles, IL. Gliot is Cruise Director for the Sunburst Corvette club, loves cruising in his 1978 Corvette pace car. Standing before his award winning Corvette, he was presented the award by Pennzoil representative Josh Pennebaker at the Pennzoil Feel the Clean trailer.

Tracy Passerotti of Erie, PA was awarded with the Pennzoil Platinum Prize on Saturday, September 13 at Summit Motorsports Park. Passerotti is the founding member and current club president of the All American Racing Professionals in Erie County and is actively involved in the Lake Erie Tri-State Mopar Club, serving as vice-president for four years. Passerotti was presented the award by Pennzoil representative Josh Pennebaker at the Pennzoil Feel the Clean trailer.

Joe Wilson of Lenoir, NC, must have been good luck for Kevin Harvick, driver of the No. 29 Shell-Pennzoil Car. The winner of the 2007 Daytona 500 went on to win the NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge just hours after presenting Joe with the Pennzoil Platinum Prize. Joe, who is currently in his second term as president for the Tarheel Late Great Chevy Club, claims his "blood runs Platinum."� Always concerned about his most-prized possessions he keeps his pristine collection of four classic 1962 Chevy's well protected in his six-bay garage.

Cars are Jim Linder's life. For more than 30 years, the Indianapolis resident has been a well-known national automotive trainer. As owner of Linder Fuel Injection, Jim has spent thousands of hours training technicians and auto enthusiasts at his "Guru School." Jim's commitment to his hot rod hobby has led him to hold regular meetings and sponsor a working "hot rod night" every Wednesday night at "Bubbas Garage," a west side hot rod shop that he owns. An owner of eight hot rods, he loves spending time "driving the wheels off" everything from his 56 VW Beetle to his 1962 Culbertson Customs HA/GR vintage dragster.

Danny Mullins of Columbus, Ohio got hooked on vintage cars as soon as he had his license. After being shown how to fix a car as a kid, he made it his mission to master the trade. That desire has led him to restore cars ever since. Roughly every ten years he starts a new project, so far he has restored a 1937 Plymouth Coupe, a 1931 Model A and a 1946 Plymouth Coupe respectively. Danny has attended thousands of car shows - this year alone he will visit 100 shows. As a member of the Wee Bee It car club in Columbus for 10 years, he has built friendships with auto enthusiast all across the country. He believes there is a bond enthusiasts' share that transcends state lines, "when you go to these shows you realize that these guys are all just Americans who love fixing up cars." Danny's dedication to his most-prized possession earned him the Pennzoil Platinum Prize at the PPG Nationals in Columbus.

Al Grosjean of Toledo, Ohio is known by his fellow members of Maumee Valley Model T's as the go-to guy for tricky fixes. Club members are known to say, "If Al can't fix it, no one can." Al has made servicing and restoring old cars and trucks his life's work. He is constantly at work on cars as owner of Grosjean Import Auto Service. Despite the name, he primarily services antique cars like Ford T's and A's. Outside of work, Al is a firm believer that antique cars shouldn't be garage queens but should instead remain in their rightful place - on the road. He and his wife, Marta, drive their antique cars regularly and even use their T for vacations. Al owns a 1919 and 1926 Ford T, 1955 Hudson Metropolitan, 1957 Volkswagen Dune Buggy, and a John Deere Model D tractor. Al received the Pennzoil Platinum Prize from NTPA Mini-Modified driver Larry Koester at the National Tractor Pull Championship in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Carl Erdman of Carlisle, Pa. is a "fan of the underdog" but at the All Ford Nationals in Carlisle he became top dog by winning the Pennzoil Platinum Prize. Carl who says he has always had a "love of orphan cars," has grown his collection – now giving home to seven Ford Edsels. Carl is president of the 30-member-strong Keystone Chapter of the Edsel Owners Club. He and his club are currently working on a club project to restore a 1959 Edsel that was set to be sent to the junkyard.

As president of the Chicago Cross-Roads Corvette Club Marvin Mayberry has made it his club's mission to spend time and inspire underprivileged and troubled youth. Marvin driving his 1998 customized chrome Corvette with wing doors and a revamped interior package travels with his club to Chicago-area schools hosting mini-road shows, providing students with a chance to check out cool cars and interact with positive role models. This year, the club is providing three scholarships for deserving students with the money they raise from community events. Marvin's dedication to giving back has helped him grow the club from 12 members, when it was established in 1992, to 125 members today.

Steve and Marsha Klinkenfus of Des Moines, Iowa are famous throughout Iowa for being guardians of the highway offering "roadside assistance" in the form of spare parts and trailer lifts to anyone who is in need. As members of the Iowa Street Rod Association and the charter members of Rollin' Relics, Steve and Marsha Klinkenfus have always made a great team. Whether it is working on their four vehicles or being active in their clubs, they always work together. The couple was honored for their dedication with the Pennzoil Platinum Prize at the Heartland Nationals held at the
Iowa State Fairgrounds.

Jack and Michelle Ferrell of Ozark, Mo. were awarded with the Pennzoil Platinum Prize on Saturday, September 17 at the 19th Annual Fall Street Machine Nationals. The couple and their families have always been passionate about restoring cars. Their 31' yellow roadster was restored from nothing more than a rusted hull with two welded doors. The car holds a special place for the couple as it was driven by Michelle to their wedding at last year's 35th Annual Rods and Relics Rockaway Beach Rod Run. As members of the Rods ‘n Relics club of Springfield, the couple attends at least one car show a month and can be seen regularly hitting the town in one of their classics. The couple, in their mutual love of cars, has amassed a collection of more than a dozen classics that are housed in their 10, three and two-car garages.

Terry Fluty (L) of Dunedin, Fla. was awarded the Platinum Prize by Joel Norton of Pennzoil at the National Mustang Racing Association Spring Ford Nationals held at Bradenton Motorsports Park.

Lloyd Miyashiro of San Dimas, Calif. was awarded the Platinum Prize during the Super Chevy Show at Pomona Raceway. Miyashiro's customized, drag ready 1955 Chevy was the featured attraction at the Pennzoil Platinum Garage. The retired Pomona High School teacher is a member of the Pomona Valley Corvette Association and has been a member of the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association for many years.

Garbiel Montez of San Antonio received the Platinum Prize at the Meltdown Custom Car and Truck Show. Montez's 1997 Ford F-350 Monster Truck, the Texas Armadillo, was the featured attraction at the Pennzoil Platinum Garage. Montez developed a passion for big trucks after his father built the original Texas Armadillo in the early 1980's. He and his wife Michelle own Unique Kreations, which specializes in creating and customizing Monster Trucks.

Eddie Conner of Bristol, Va. was presented the Platinum Prize at the Super Chevy Show in Bristol, Tenn. Conner's 1963 Corvette was the featured attraction at the Pennzoil Platinum Garage. Conner is a co-founder and president of the Tri-City Corvettes. Tri-City Corvettes members lead the parade of NASCAR haulers through their Tri-Cities tour before they go to Bristol Motor Speedway races.

John Croft of Spring Hill, Tenn. was presented the Platinum Prize at the Super Chevy Show in Huntsville, Ala. Croft's 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche was the featured attraction at the Pennzoil Platinum Garage. Croft leads the Middle Tennessee Avalanche Club, which is a chapter of the Chevy Avalanche Fan Club of America. He is the driving force behind the chapter that has been active in raising money for hurricane relief efforts in Tennessee, New Orleans and other areas through club events.

Glen Sweinhart of Annville, Pa. was presented the Platinum Prize by Joel Norton of Pennzoil during the 5th Annual NMCA Hot Rod and Muscle Car Nationals in Reading, Pa. Sweinhart's 1963 Chevy Impala was the featured attraction at the Pennzoil Platinum Garage. Sweinhart is a longtime auto enthusiast and a member of Country Cruisers based in Central Pennsylvania.

Corby and Sheryl Martens of Las Vegas, Nev. were awarded the Platinum Prize by Joel Norton of Pennzoil during the Mopars at the Strip drag race and car show at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Martens are members of Mopars of Las Vegas and own several cars including a bright yellow 1973 Hemi Cuda that was displayed at the Platinum Garage. The Martens also own Fastway Automotive Customizing and Restoration.

Troy Schlegel (L) of Katy, Texas, was awarded the Platinum Prize by Joel Norton of Pennzoil at the Fun Ford Weekend at Houston Raceway Park. Schlegel's 2005 Mustang GT was the featured attraction at the Pennzoil Platinum Garage during the weekend. Schlegel is founder and president of Westside Mustangs, which began in 2000, and has grown to more than 4,000 Houston-area Mustang enthusiasts.

Randy Church of Mount Airy, Ga. was awarded the Platinum Prize at the Year One Experience at Road Atlanta. Church's 1966 Mustang convertible was the featured attraction at the Pennzoil Platinum Garage. He is the founder and president of the Ford Owners Association, an international organization of Ford owners based in the Atlanta area. Church has also been an active member and officer in his local chapter of the Mustang
Club of America.

Sandy and Charlie Smith of Jeffersonville, Ind. were awarded the Platinum Prize during the Mustang and All Ford Show at Salem Speedway. The Smith's 2000 Supercharged Saleen Mustang Speedster was the featured attraction at the Pennzoil Platinum Garage. The Smith's are founding members of the Falls City Mustang Club, which is part of the Mustang Club of America. The club is active in raising funds for local and national cancer research organizations.

Joey Gonzalez (R), owner of Maximum Altitude Offroad in San Antonio, was awarded the Platinum Prize May 14 at the Meltdown 2005 Car and Truck Show in New Braunfels, TX by George Kisr (C) of the Platinum Garage Tour and show organizer Johnny Perales. Gonzalez builds off road and monster trucks that have won awards at auto and truck shows around the country.

Tomas Scheckter, driver of the Pennzoil Platinum Indy car, and winner of the Indy Racing League race at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth presented BJ Barnhart with the Platinum Prize. Barnhart, who has won numerous top show awards at Texas car shows, captured first place at the recent Super Chevy Show near Dallas. While most show cars rarely see the open road, Barnhart drives his immaculate 1996 Chevrolet Impala every day. The car, which has 97,000 miles, is meticulously maintained inside and out. He lives in Garland and is a member of the HOSS Impala Club in Texas.

Buddy Cowan (L), owner of Cowan Brothers Rod and Restoration, has been restoring cars for more than 30 years. He was awarded the Platinum Prize at the 18th Annual Camaro, Chevelle, Nova Nationals in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. by George Kiser. Car collectors and restorers from the southeast come to see Cowan at car shows and swap meets. He can offer friendly technical advice or help find that elusive part you have been seeking to complete the restoration of your dream car.

Rod and Diane Reprogle of Sevierville, Tenn. were awarded the Platinum Prize. Rod (L) accepted the award from George Kiser at the Mini Truckin' Nationals in Sevierville, Tenn. Their brilliant red1953 Ford F 100 pick up truck has won more than 30 trophies, including several Best of Show trophies, and been featured in more than 20 national magazines. The truck was restored and customized locally and is driven regularly. The Reprogles also own a 1934 Ford Coupe street rod that has also won numerous awards.

Clarence Craig (L) of Pittsboro, Ind., owner of a 1971 Chevy Chevelle convertible, was awarded the Platinum Prize by George Kiser at the Super Chevy Show in Indianapolis. Craig, who restored and customized his Chevelle, is president of the Hoosier State Chevelle Association and member of the American Chevelle Association, a national organization for
Chevelle enthusiasts.

Steve Vail (L) of Salisbury, NC was awarded the Platinum Prize by George Kiser during Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach. Vail is an active member of Full Throttle Stangs in North Carolina. He and his sons Matthew and Jeremy restore and customize a 1966 Mustang GT Convertible, a 1999 Saleen Mustang, a 2003 Mustang Cobra convertible and a 2004 Mustang GT convertible.

Marion Galloway (L) of Lafayette, Ind. was awarded the Platinum Prize by George Kiser at the Midwest Corvette and Chevy Show in Valparaiso, Ind. Galloway owns more than 30 Corvettes from all six generations of the car dating back to the 1950s. Part of his collection includes replicas of all Corvette Indianapolis 500 pace cars. Galloway's 1978 Corvette pace car was featured in the Platinum Garage. He is a member of the Cross Flag Corvette Club.

Nancy Moore (R), accompanied by her husband Ed (L) accepts the Platinum Prize from Tomas Scheckter, driver of the Pennzoil Platinum Indy car at Kansas Speedway. Moore and her husband own a 1953 Chevrolet Belair convertible. She is president of the Golden Oldies Classic Chevy Club and has been the driving force behind the annual Goodguys Mid-Western Nationals held at Kansas Speedway each year.

Chuck Raymer (L) of Bowling Green, KY. was awarded the Platinum Prize by George Kiser at the Corvette Celebration held at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. Raymer, owner of a 1996 Corvette coupe, is a charter member and past president of the Corvettes Limited car club in Bowling Green. He is also a member of the National Corvette Museum and the National Corvette Restorers Society.

Garrett Ghezzi (L) of Dolton, Ill. was awarded the Platinum Prize by George Kiser at the '05 AMC Nationals held in Cordova, Ill. Ghezzi, owner of a 1969 AMC AMX Super Stock, has competed in regional and national drag racing events for more than 25 years. He competed in the Super Stock I class in both NHRA and IHRA drag racing this year and has been a member of the National American Motors Drivers and Racers Association since 1978.

Al Richmond, President of Vintage Thunderbirds of Houston, was the recent recipient of the Platinum Prize. Al, a Houston resident, and his wife June, own four Thunderbirds ranging from 1957 to the latest 2002 design. Since retiring in 1999 as a rocket scientist for NASA, Al has devoted much of his time to protecting and preserving his stunning T-Birds.

Joe Hendriksen (L), a resident of Shelbyville, Mich., and owner of JTS Classic Car Company in Kalamazoo, was presented the Platinum Prize at the Super Chevy Show in Martin, Mich. by George Kiser. Hendriksen's company restores classic and muscle cars. His 1967 Chevelle SS 396 was featured at the Platinum Garage.

Roscoe Bowman (R), of Bristol, Tenn., an auto enthusiast and longtime auto dealer, was presented the Platinum Prize at the Super Chevy Show at Bristol Dragway by George Kiser. Bowman's classic 1957 Chevy was the featured attraction at the Platinum Garage. He is a two-time president of the Appalachian Automobile Club of America. He founded Roscoe Bowman Motors in Bristol in 1971 and has been involved with a number of auto dealerships since that time.

Dale Komives (L) of Medina, Ohio, owner of a classic 1965 Ford Thunderbird hardtop, was awarded the Platinum Prize by George Kiser at the Fun Ford Weekend in Norwalk, Ohio. His Thunderbird was selected by Ford to be displayed at the introduction of the new Thunderbird in 2002 and at the Ford Centennial in 2003. Both events were held at Ford's headquarters in Dearborn, Mich. Komives has served as vice president.

Gary Haneberg (R) of Brentwood, Tenn. was presented the Platinum Prize by Tomas Scheckter, driver of the Pennzoil Platinum Indy car, prior to the Indy Racing League race at Nashville Superspeedway. Haneberg and his wife Sylvia own a restored 1962 Corvette and a 1968 Corvette that is original. Haneberg served two years as President of the Antique Automobile Club of America – Battlefield Region following a 40 year career with GM at Chevrolet
and Saturn.

Chad Potteiger (L) of Carlisle, Penn., was awarded the Platinum Prize by George Kiser at the All-Truck Nationals in Carlisle, Penn. Potteiger owns an award-winning 1996 Ford F-150 Eddie Bauer pick up truck that features a nine-inch lift kit, 38-inch super swamper bogger tires, a unique paint scheme, blue neon tubes and more.

Dan Calvano (R) of Waukesha, Wis. was awarded the Platinum Prize by George Kiser at the Goodguys Great Lake Nationals in Waukesha. Calvano's rare, customized 1933 Buick Vickie restorod is equipped with an LS1 Corvette engine, leather interior, air conditioning, CD player and more. He is an active member of the Waukesha Old Car Club.

Rich Bolzenius (L) of Union, MO, was awarded the Platinum Prize by George Kiser at the Monster Mopar Weekend held at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Ill. Bolzenius, who owns a 1970 Plymouth Superbird, organizes the "winged" section of the Monster Mopar Weekend that features Plymouth Superbirds and Dodge Daytonas of the late 1960s and early 70s. The famous muscle cars were equipped with high wings mounted on the back.

Bob Bell of Evansville, Ind. was awarded the Platinum Prize at the Frog Follies held in Evansville. Bell owns a 1939 Chevrolet two-door sedan street rod. He has been a member of the E'ville Iron Street Rod Club, the club that organizes the Frog Follies, for almost 30 years. Bell is responsible for publicity and entertainment for the show.
