The two Ashville residents put on a car show for foster kids each year at the Buck-Eye Ranch in Grove City. Last year, the show raised $15,000 and had roughly 500 cars in attendance. Standing before their 1964 Corvette convertible, the couple was presented the award by Pennzoil representative Bill Randell at the Pennzoil Feel the Clean trailer.</p>]]></desc>

Lennen, who has been president of the Indiana Street Rod Association for 10 years, owns three hot rods, two 1937 Studebaker hot rods and a 1954 F-100 Ford truck. He debuted his silver and blue Studebaker at last year's Hot Rod Nationals. With a 380 Stroker motor, all stock body and handmade dashboard, the two-tone hot rod is a spectator favorite. Jim's commitment to his hot rod hobby has led him to hold regular meetings and sponsor a working "hot rod night" every Wednesday night at "Bubbas Garage," a west side hot rod shop that he owns. An owner of eight hot rods, he loves spending time "driving the wheels off" everything from his 56 VW Beetle to his 1962 Culbertson Customs HA/GR vintage dragster.</p>]]></desc>

				<desc><![CDATA[<p class="strong">Car Show Veteran</p><p>Danny Mullins of Columbus, Ohio got hooked on vintage cars as soon as he had his license. After being shown how to fix a car as a kid, he made it his mission to master the trade. That desire has led him to restore cars ever since. Roughly every ten years he starts a new project, so far he has restored a 1937 Plymouth Coupe, a 1931 Model A and a 1946 Plymouth Coupe respectively. Danny has attended thousands of car shows - this year alone he will visit 100 shows. As a member of the Wee Bee It car club in Columbus for 10 years, he has built friendships with auto enthusiast all across the country. He believes there is a bond enthusiasts' share that transcends state lines, "when you go to these shows you realize that these guys are all just Americans who love fixing up cars." Danny's dedication to his most-prized possession earned him the Pennzoil Platinum Prize at the PPG Nationals in Columbus.</p>]]></desc>

				<desc><![CDATA[<p class="strong">Mr. Fix It</p><p>Al Grosjean of Toledo, Ohio is known by his fellow members of Maumee Valley Model T's as the go-to guy for tricky fixes. Club members are known to say, "If Al can't fix it, no one can." Al has made servicing and restoring old cars and trucks his life's work. He is constantly at work on cars as owner of Grosjean Import Auto Service. Despite the name, he primarily services antique cars like Ford T's and A's. Outside of work, Al is a firm believer that antique cars shouldn't be garage queens but should instead remain in their rightful place - on the road. He and his wife, Marta, drive their antique cars regularly and even use their T for vacations. Al owns a 1919 and 1926 Ford T, 1955 Hudson Metropolitan, 1957 Volkswagen Dune Buggy, and a John Deere Model D tractor. Al received the Pennzoil Platinum Prize from NTPA Mini-Modified driver Larry Koester at the National Tractor Pull Championship in Bowling Green, Ohio.</p>]]></desc>

				<desc><![CDATA[<p class="strong">Fan of the Underdog</p><p>Carl Erdman of Carlisle, Pa. is a "fan of the underdog" but at the All Ford Nationals in Carlisle he became top dog by winning the Pennzoil Platinum Prize. Carl who says he has always had a "love of orphan cars," has grown his collection – now giving home to seven Ford Edsels. Carl is president of the 30-member-strong Keystone Chapter of the Edsel Owners Club. He and his club are currently working on a club project to restore a 1959 Edsel that was set to be sent to the junkyard.</p>]]></desc>

Marvin driving his 1998 customized chrome Corvette with wing doors and a revamped interior package travels with his club to Chicago-area schools hosting mini-road shows, providing students with a chance to check out cool cars and interact with positive role models. This year, the club is providing three scholarships for deserving students with the money they raise from community events. Marvin's dedication to giving back has helped him grow the club from 12 members, when it was established in 1992, to 125 members today.</p>]]></desc>

				<desc><![CDATA[<p class="strong">Serious Car Love</p><p>Jack and Michelle Ferrell of Ozark, Mo. were awarded with the Pennzoil Platinum Prize on Saturday, September 17 at the 19th Annual Fall Street Machine Nationals. The couple and their families have always been passionate about restoring cars. Their 31' yellow roadster was restored from nothing more than a rusted hull with two welded doors. The car holds a special place for the couple as it was driven by Michelle to their wedding at last year's 35th Annual Rods and Relics Rockaway Beach Rod Run. As members of the Rods ‘n Relics club of Springfield, the couple attends at least one car show a month and can be seen regularly hitting the town in one of their classics. The couple, in their mutual love of cars, has amassed a collection of more than a dozen classics that are housed in their 10, three and two-car garages.</p>]]></desc>

				<desc><![CDATA[<p class="strong">From One Winner To Another</p><p>Tomas Scheckter, driver of the Pennzoil Platinum Indy car, and winner of the Indy Racing League race at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth presented BJ Barnhart with the Platinum Prize. Barnhart, who has won numerous top show awards at Texas car shows, captured first place at the recent Super Chevy Show near Dallas. While most show cars rarely see the open road, Barnhart drives his immaculate 1996 Chevrolet Impala every day. The car, which has 97,000 miles, is meticulously maintained inside and out. He lives in Garland and is a member of the HOSS Impala Club in Texas.</p>]]></desc>

Their brilliant red1953 Ford F 100 pick up truck has won more than 30 trophies, including several Best of Show trophies, and been featured in more than 20 national magazines. The truck was restored and customized locally and is driven regularly. The Reprogles also own a 1934 Ford Coupe street rod that has also won numerous awards.</p>]]></desc>
