See how Pennzoil partnered with Nintendo to showcase Mario Karting Reimagined, inspired by Mario Kart 8 for Wii U.

Imagine one of your favorite video games as a real-life go-karting experience.

That was Mario Karting Reimagined, inspired by Mario Kart™ 8 and Powered by Pennzoil in Austin, TX in March to celebrate the introduction of PurePlus Technology™. We figured Mario Karting Reimagined would be a kick-in-the-gas fun way to introduce people to Motor Oil Reimagined™ which is Pennzoil Platinum® Full Synthetic motor oils with PurePlus Technology™.

We drove that point home Mario Kart-style by making it possible for drivers to collect all of the Pennzoil® Complete Protection icons on the track as they drove. As in the video game, the icons were real-world power-ups.

By all accounts everyone had a great time at Mario Kart Reimagined. Life-size Mario and Luigi characters were there to root everyone on.
